We had been looking forward to a river short break and images on the website are obviously pre-flooding. I was disappointed to see that the waterfront site (which we paid extra for) was more appropriate to describe as communal bin adjacent and that whilst the council had re-grassed nearby local water front park areas, they have not been active with the caravan park to restore the waterfront area. Very dusty on the warm days. Sound restrictions were not enforced at night by park owners and we were kept up first by screaming teenagers on the 90s era small playground (10pm+) and then groups talking and drinking past midnight. Hard going when travelling with two small children. Amenities block is VERY dated and cleaned only once daily (evidence of cleaning was minimal as dead bugs were everywhere, toilet paper on the floor and unclean toilets). Water pressure was poor and I endured a short but hot water dribble. With these disappointments, we decided to pack up and leave earlier than scheduled as the Big 4 in tailem offers much more for an equivalent cost and still had us within a reasonable distance to the river for fishing (our prime reason for the visit). The waterfront area for fishing in mannum park was a short stretch of reeds scattered with rubbish and people’s parked kayaks. The park has potential to be lovely but we won’t be back. Too many day drinking, rowdy river rats not being respectful of other campers. The service in reception was friendly but not enough to sway us to stay for our booked and prepaid three nights. We left after 24 hours.
We love the park! Have been coming up for 20 years. Unfortunately after the floods the council hasn’t put the money back into one of the biggest tourist features of the town.
Grass needs to be put back on the forefront and around the campsites, and the staff are great but not enough of them around.
Hopefully things can be done before peak season because it has been such as staple for our family holidays.
I camped for 2 nights at this lovely Caravan Park.
The staff were very friendly & helpful. The facilities, amenities and grounds were very clean & well maintained.
The location is beautiful. I had not been to this part of SA before. Also the town of Mannum is very pretty and the locals I met were very friendly & helpful. I highly recommend the Caravan Park & a visit to Mannum & surrounds.

In relation to a previous review; if you are to post a reply good or bad please ensure you get your facts right. You said you were checking guests out however there was a note on the door, back in 20 mins. We waited for you to arrive back to the office, so you were not checking any guests out that we were aware of. You also replied you did not get a chance to get our details!! We would assume that the after numerous calls we made over a 24hr period, prior to arriving at the park, leaving our details, you already had them, as well as an email address. Attempts to apologise, well that's just not true! There was no attempt to apologise and there was also no fury on our part, as written in your reply. We were just completely stunned at the absolute lack of customer service. This would all have been avoided if you simply answered your messages and emails. Disappointed once again at the excuses made for simply the very poor or lack of service delivered.
Very disappointed in the customer service at this park. Rang the day before beginning at 11am and left numerous messages and then emailed as we received no response. Tried again to ring on the day still no response. When we arrived the office was closed with a sign and a mobile number which we rang and heard it on the desk inside. Someone did come back to the office however, not too long after. I expressed that we had tried on numerous occasions to contact them; no apology or explanation just a grunt from the receptionist. Discovered we couldn’t get in until 12, which is on the website but just wanted to confirm via phone contact if we could by chance get an early checkin and even if a site was available. We left and drove to another town to check into a park where they answered on the first try at ringing them and said we could come in as soon as we got there, which consequently was way before 12pm. This is not good enough Big 4. Customer service should be your top priority!! I had to give one star to post but it really deserves a zero.
What a great park! They are still doing flood recovery, but the park is up and running, the bathrooms are clean and well maintained, as is the camp kitchen. There’s fishing spots right there in the park, and a good little playground for the kids. They even have a pizza oven!
Park disappointing, they need to go around and mark the site numbers and have lines between them. One guy set up completely and Park staff told him he was not on the right site. Duh no numbers. Others we spoke to had been coming for years and even they said park has gone downhill. Maybe Big4 better do a spot check before putting their name on it.
Nice cabin. Though Lagoon view was more of a lagoon edge/road view. The water was close to be able to launch a kayak and the paddle in the morning was excellent. Some works being done at the moment, which is understandable, no issues to the stay as a result.
